Terms of Service

By using Edition, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Edition is a personalized newspaper service that selects articles from publicly available news sources, rewrites them to a consistent editorial standard using AI, and delivers them as a formatted newspaper. All articles include attribution to their original source.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must not share your account with others.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Edition.
• Notify us at hello@edition.ink if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the service outside of its intended interface
• Redistribute, republish, or resell edition content
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the service or its underlying algorithms
• Interfere with the service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure

Content and intellectual property

Edition does not produce original journalism. All news content is sourced from and attributed to its original publishers. Edition rewrites articles for editorial consistency using AI, not to misrepresent their origin. Original sources retain all rights to their reporting.

The Edition name, logo, design, and software are the property of Edition. You may not use our branding without written permission.

Subscriptions and payment

• Edition offers free and paid subscription tiers.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or through the Stripe customer portal.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• Prices may change with 30 days notice via email.

Service availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

Limitation of liability

Edition is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of Edition after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
